Thank you for the interest in the project!
My goal with AACS is to provide a flexible and high quality framework workflow for creating new creative combat systems, by just changing settings and with minimal coding. It was designed and structured like a framework, in the sense that it is a conjuction of multiple components, functions and features that, acting like building blocks, makes your combat system.
A common mistake often made by marketplace combat systems is that they are structured in a way that changes often are just visuals and settings, like animations, VFX, etc. This in my opinion makes the system look dated or repetitive very quickly, often leading to the impression that every game made with that system will look alike. AACS tries to avoid this by offering not just visual changes, but by facilitating the creation of actual gameplay mechanics thorough modular components, functions, and much more.
I'll develop and provide for download in a regular basis (possibly monthly) in the Discord Server new game examples. In each new example I will try to recreate (in a simplified way) combat systems inspired by the classics. In doing so I’ll be pushing the system limits, which will result in many updates, new features and even new components will be added over time.
